Mrs. Jacquelyn Salazar
Science 7th Grade
WE are in for a GREAT, FUN school year!!
I'm so EXCITED to be your teacher!!
The 2020-21 school year here at Manzano Middle School will be one filled with exciting new adventures in learning.! WE are starting the year off VIRTUALLY! The students will be challenged to their highest potential. A new challenge for this year will be the REMOTE LEARNING both synchronously and asynchronously. In order to prepare for this I will need your cooperation. I need my students to come prepared to class everyday. This means they need supplies ( a list will be provided), a restful body, appropriate attire for virtual learning (No pajamas!), a positive and respectful attitude, and the willingness to learn. Unexcused absences and tardies will not be tolerated, as they interfere with instruction. Please reinforce these expectations to your children and review them daily. I will provide you with the rules for my class along with the rewards and consequences for not following them. The reason these rules are put into place is to ensure that each child receives every minute of quality instruction they deserve. My syllabus outlines the science objectives and when they will be taught. Progress reports are generated by the school every 3rd week and will be sent to you only if your child is failing (69 or lower) or in danger of failing (74-70). If you have any questions please feel free to call me at school. Thank you , and I look forward to being your child’s 7th grade science teacher.
Let's have a Great and productive School Year here at Manzano Middle School!
My motto:
EXPERIMENT...Fail... Learn.. REPEAT!
Respectfully,
J. Salazar/Science/ F117
